Yanai Toister
Yanai Toister is a photographer living and working in both Tel Aviv and Los Angeles. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles (MFA '06) and the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (BFA '01). Toister is a recipient of the Young Artist award (Israeli ministry of Culture), First Profile award (Council for the Arts, Israel National Lottery Foundation) the America Israel cultural foundation awards and the Tel Aviv Museum Constantiner Photography award. His work has been shown in solo exhibitions at the tel Aviv artist Studios, the Tal Esther gallery in Tel Aviv and at Sandroni.Rey in Los Angeles. Group exhibitions include the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, the Tel Aviv museum, Haus Lange in Krefeld Germany, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris and The 11th international Architecture Exhibition at the the Venice Biennial.
